THIS IS A FOOD POST: Kemang Fish & Chips

(ps: This was happened before the Ramadhan month.)

Dinov and I got nothing to do on a hot, humid day at Kemang. We actually visited 707 for their Melissa shoes (they got up to 70% Melissa shoes on sale) but left disappointed because i didn't want to spend 500k on rubber shoes. then we walked to McDonald's for coffee (we almost went to Casa but again, we didn't want to spend so much money on coffee so we ended up there). Had been craving for fish & chips all day, we decided to walk to the legendary Kemang Fish & Chips, in front of the Wimo building. Before it, we went to a pet shop on a halfway there and waited for my driver to pick us up (yes, the restaurant was a bit far by foot).

Their fish & chips are available in 3 kinds of portions; Sailors (small), Captain (medium), and Admiral (large). We felt like we couldn't eat so much at that time so we only ordered one Captain fish and chips. oh, the place was so small and hot and at the corner of the street so it might not be the coziest place to hang out - because it was intended for take-away, not eating in.

probably the best fish & chips i've eaten in years--the fish wasn't amis and had beautiful layers beneath the batter, they use real chips (i mean, not french fries), and the tartar sauce was just perfect. Combine these three elements, and they'll send you to the fish n chips heaven.

Next time I'm eating there, i'll make sure i order Captain (or Admiral) for myself.
