The last day of 17 year old Nadia Vetta

Well hello there! I’m writing this while listening to this Japanese relaxing music below, and I don’t know why I’m listening to it because it’s supposed to make people sleep. And I’m feeling sleepy right now.

Lol what a random beginning! So….. I’ve always wanted to write a post like this, something to reminisce the past year like people always do on twitter or their blogs in the end of the year. But I didn’t have time (writing this kind of post) because I got so much things to do (watching videos, fangirling, etc etc) (HAHA) But then I thought, today will be my last day of being 17, and 17 to me is quite remarkable. Because you know what….. some of my birthday wishes came true.

Lo and behold………….. the unforgettable events from January 28, 2010 - January 27, 2011!

1. My Sweet 17 birthday bash

Lol I sound like I’m your typical snob, rich, and spoiled teenage girls from MTV My Super Sweet Sixteen. it was quite unimaginable when your birthday girl was hidden somewhere in secrecy (lol) then TA DAAAAA finally she came out and surprised everyone at the party! The party, at some part, went quite ~garing~, maybe because I was too nervous at that time. But it was fun tho! Everyone there had fun. I’m still mad at the fact that not all my friends could come because of some-maniac-supporters-from-a-local-football-club-making-everyone-got-stuck-in-a-crazy-traffic-that-already-caused-by-huge-rain!

2. Graduated from Labschool Kebayoran Senior High School and got accepted at University of Indonesia (UI)
After months and months of studying at Inten (a course, they have this intensive pre-university program), I got accepted at Faculty of Social and Political Science with major in Communication! It was quite unimaginable to me because I had never seen myself as a person who really, really wanted to enter public universities. I had this “you will study abroad” mindset (and stigma), then BAM! I surprised everyone. April 8, 2010. UI and Copeland. one of my best days ever. Plus, I quit my major’s orientation period earlier muahahaha.

3. Went to my high school prom and graduation ceremony

The prom night was supposed to be the most epic night of my life but I was sick! Pretty much like eating a wet sandwich, it was really unpleasant.

4. Sounds like a 17 year old spirits: YEAR OF CONCERTS!!

Copeland, Kings of Convenience+Jens Lekman, Jay Park (2 times, lol and he needs the whole point dedicated to him), Vampire Weekend, Mnet Ultimate Live (2PM, 2AM, MBLAQ, B2ST, Miss A). guess , which one (or two) concert(s) was/were scandalous?

5. MET, HUGGED, SHOOK HANDS, TOOK PICTURES, ETC ETC WITH JAEBUM PARK

SHAKING. CRYING. LOOK AT THE MATCHING OUTFIT WE WORE! AND LOOK AT MY HOLEY TIGHTS! Just……….enjoy these pictures. Mission accomplished. I EVEN SAID I LOVE YOU TO HIM!!

6. Went to Bali, and Singapore twice without parents with the same purpose (cough cough kpop groups)

After 6 years, I finally had visited Bali! Went to some well known places, including The Rock Bar at Ayana (ps: I once thought that this is the same Ahmad Dhani’s Rock Bar haha). After 2 years, I visited Singapore twice in 2010, the first one was in September 2010 with Ofelia and December 2010 with Dinov, my sister Fadia and Dinov’s parents. THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!

7. Went to the first and second fashion show in my life

Pretty much self explanatory. Looking forward to be invited to more fashion shows this year. Amen.

8. Got accepted in AIESEC
(I supposed to leave for Samara, Russia earlier this january but lo and behold, they haven’t made my Invitation Letter. Le sigh. After what happened in Russia recently, I am really grateful to Allah because He made me stay in Jakarta. Alhamdulillah.. :’) )

9. Got featured in a magazine
Cosmogirl Indonesia, January edition. Page 81. Yay me!

10. Made my family and friends proud of me in anything. :)
Because that’s what important.

I hope I can reach more goals this year, be a more religious person (since I rarely pray 5 times a day), and be a better person each day. (and lose more weight, of course.)
